Company Overview
The Company was founded on 13 September 1999 under the name PT Central Korporindo International. On 21 November 2001, the Company became a public company listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (currently the Indonesian Stock Exchange) with the stock code ‘CNKO’. In 2010, the Company changed its name to PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk.
Since 2006, the Company has signed several Coal Sale and Purchase Agreement (PJBB) contracts with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and and its subsidiaries. Currently, the Company is the coal supplier for seven coal-fired power plants (PLTU) owned by PLN in Java. In addition to coal sales, CNKO also owns and operates PLTU in Central Kalimantan.
Toward the end of 2024, there was a change in the controlling shareholding in the Company with the entry of Anderson Bay Pte. Ltd. During the same year, CNKO also recorded an extraordinary performance improvement by once again post a comprehensive profit for the current year, after experiencing losses for the past few years.
