Sustainability Governance

CNKO views sustainability as an integral part of good corporate governance. This commitment is reflected in the active involvement of all organizational layers, from the Board of Commissioners overseeing sustainability strategies to the Directors and related units responsible for implementing the Sustainable Finance Action Plan (RAKB) effectively and in compliance with regulations.

In practice, CNKO strengthens internal capacity through training, policy dissemination, and collaboration with external parties. These efforts aim to foster equal understanding of sustainability across all levels and integrate it into the organizational culture. Stakeholder engagement is also maintained through transparent and participatory communication.

As part of governance, risk management is conducted in an integrated manner to address challenges such as dependency on PLN, coal price fluctuations, extreme weather conditions and market competition. CNKO applies various mitigation strategies, including enhancing internal controls, maintaining communication with strategic partners and adapting operations proactively.

Equally important, CNKO affirms its commitment to social responsibility through various programs focusing on local community empowerment, education and health support, environmental conservation as well as religious initiatives. These CSR programs are designed to create a long-term positive impact on communities and environments around the company’s operational areas. Through a collaborative and sustainable approach, CNKO continues to build a strong, adaptive and future-ready sustainability governance foundation.
